The Aluminum Association

The Aluminum Association represents U.S. and foreign-based companies and their suppliers throughout the value chain, from primary production to value added products to recycling.  The Association is the industry’s leading voice, providing global standards, business intelligence, sustainability research and industry expertise to member companies, policymakers and the general public.The aluminum industry helps manufacturers produce sustainable and innovative products, including more fuel efficient vehicles, recyclable packaging, greener buildings and modern electronics.  In the U.S., the aluminum industry creates $186 billion in economic activity. 

The Association Mission
The Aluminum Association provides value to its membership through its leadership and services by promoting the production and use of aluminum as the sustainable material of choice. The Aluminum Association will:

• Drive communications that aggressively promote aluminum, while developing stakeholder champions for its sustainability advantages.
• Provide timely, relevant industry statistics and information on emerging issues for enhanced industry transparency.
• Create, maintain, monitor and advocate for standards and technical documents that encourage the use of aluminum.
• Successfully advance regulatory and legislative policy in state, federal and international arenas.
• Convene forums on emerging and relevant issues in order to strengthen the industry.
• Facilitate the sharing of best practices in enhancing global health, environment and safety performance.
