Interstate Energy Company

Interstate Energy Company operates two pipelines that deliver fuel to two facilities operated by Talen Energy, the Lower Mount Bethel and Martins Creek power plants. The plants are located in Lower Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County, Pa. The Lower Mount Bethel power plant generates electricity by burning natural gas, while the Martins Creek plant can burn oil or natural gas.  This allows Talen Energy to choose the most cost-effective fuel to provide electricity to residential and business customers
