Sampling Associates International, LLC (SAI) is a specialist in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems for the sampling of coal and petroleum coke. SAI began operations in 1982 with the advent of large capacity mechanical systems being installed at high volume coal export terminals in the US. Since those early years and with each contract SAI has developed a worldwide reputation of providing the most comprehensive equipment maintenance program in the industry, an execution of high quality standards, and an unparalleled commitment to customer service. Maintenance is critical. Since our inception, a thorough and well-executed maintenance program has always been our belief - and our practice. Through a successful combination of well-trained personnel; a dedicated maintenance staff; a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) program; and a continuing effort to improve the performance of the systems in our care, SAI has achieved one of the highest “on-line” operation times in the industry. Our customized maintenance programs have been the foundation in our operation of well-run systems yielding representative samples. Additionally, when a sampling system’s performance is on-line and performing properly, this lessens quality issues and disruptions to terminal operations, and it provides a safer work environment.
