About CRSPrintek – Our History

CRS Printek began as Computer Ribbon Specialists in 1979, providing a re-inking service for wide-line data processing ribbons. Looking back over the past 25 years of the computer printing industry, we at CRS Printek have seen and participated in a growth similar to that which took the world from the horse and carriage to the automobile.

• 1985 – CRS progressed to recycling and manufacturing of dot matrix printer ribbons.
• 1987 – We developed a proprietary process for remanufacturing of the first laser printer toner cartridge manufactured by Canon for Apple and Hewlett-Packard.
• 1994 – The successful completion of Canon-based HP and IBM laser printer training began our additional core competency of laser printer repair and maintenance.
• Since then, annual updating of this training through the IITC has enabled CRS Printek to stay ahead of the competition with compatible toners for the latest printers and service expertise for HP, Canon and Lexmark printers.

Currently our list of in-stock compatible toner cartridges accommodates more than 1,943 different printer models. This number continues to grow monthly, as more and more manufacturers enter the digital laser printer, copier and fax market.
