Hot Extrusion :

Birdsboro's hydraulic extrusion press features all of the latest technologies: a high speed induction billet heater, an automatic press pointing system and a revolutionary water cooling system.

Induction Heating :

This fully automated induction heating process results in reduced costs. It allows for a faster cycle, continuous flow of material and does not require a soaking oven to insure even heating.

Press Pointing :

Our in-house custom designed automatic pointing systems allows for an uninterrupted swift shuttle of the pointing die to finished die enabling each bar to be drawn to final size without costly manual labor.

Water Cooling :

The formation of copper oxide on copper acts like an abrasive during the draw process. To reduce its formation, we have designed a custom water jacket system directly from the press, which greatly reduces the amount of manual preparation required.
