If a thing’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well. For over 60 years this simple statement defines our underlying work principle. From service and maintenance to plan/spec contracts to design/build projects, our clients are assured of quality workmanship.

ARC can design and install mechanical systems ranging from simple exhaust systems to complicated piping systems for food plants, processing operations and hospital operating rooms.

Our installation teams consist of masters, journeymen, apprentices and certified personnel in plumbing; process piping; gas, steam, refrigeration and medical gas piping; and sheet metal work. We also have a fully-functioning sheet metal fabrication shop capable of handling standard duct work and fittings, as well as custom sheet metal work.

ARC provides 24/7 emergency service, as well as preventive maintenance programs, by certified and licensed service technicians. Our commitment to technical excellence compelled us to create our own HVAC apprenticeship program with the state of Vermont Apprenticeship Council.

History

ARC began in 1947 as Allen Refrigeration Company and grew from 12 people in 1987, when it became ARC Mechanical Contractors, to currently over 70 employees.

Since its inception, ARC has diversified from refrigeration service into full-service mechanical contracting with design/build capabilities. ARC’s scope of services has expanded to include sheet metal fabrication and installation, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical piping, heating, air conditioning, controls, medical gas systems, process piping, compressed air systems and refrigeration systems.

In 2002 Wilton Buskey became owner of the company. Wilton has many years’ experience in the mechanical contracting and service business.

In 2011, Jody Perkins, ARC’s service manager, became president of the company.
