Headquartered in Flemington, New Jersey, AMPAL, Inc. has been a leading producer of atomized aluminum powder since 1966. In 1981, the company’s manufacturing facilities were relocated to our present 68-acre site in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. In 1999, the USM group acquired an aluminum powder, shot and flake operation in Hermillon, France. AMPAL’s sister company, Poudres Hermillon, increases the global presence of the USM group offering a wide range of aluminum products to customers worldwide.

Supported by the specialized capabilities of a global enterprise, AMPAL markets its aluminum powder worldwide to the chemical, metallurgical and explosives industries. Offering a full-range of coarse to fine aluminum powders, the company takes pride in its excellent reputation for consistent quality, dependable deliveries and flexibility in meeting specific customer requirements, including particle size distribution, chemical purity and packaging.
