AREA SHEET METAL, INC

AREA SHEET METAL, INC., was established in 1971 by Dave and Dottie Leonard.  In the beginning the business focused on HVAC residential and light commercial work.  Dave and one employee set up shop in the family garage, while Dottie handled the accounting duties.  The company now employs 75 people working in 42,000 sq. ft. of fabricating and office space.  Field Superintendent Mike Schammert's 29 years with the company adds valuable experience in project management.  General Manager Mike Birky contributes 24 years of shop management and custom fabricating experience.  The Leonard's sons, David and John, represent the second generation working in the family-owned business.  Area has been fortunate to employ talented and loyal workers, many who have stayed with the company for 20 years or more.  A dedicated work ethic and a commitment to quality workmanship and service have contributed to the company's ability to celebrate its 30th year in business.  Mission:  Characteristics that have contributed to the success of the company over the years remain key today.  Quality workmanship, prompt service, a safe work environment, and treating customers and employees with integrity and respect are top priorities.  Adapting to new technologies and procedures are on-going goals, as is achieving profitable growth for both the company and its employees.
