English Ironworks

English Ironworks was founded in 1993. From modest beginnings working out of a shed in the yard of another business, they quickly moved on, into a workshop on Central Avenue.   In 2001, English Ironworks moved to a plot of land big enough to accomodate the growing business and built a new workshop.   English Ironworks prides itself on the quality of its work and its reputation for reliability.   All merchandise is custom-made by hand, so no two items are quite the same and there is always a uniqueness to the work.Frank Southern is the owner operator of English Ironworks. Originally from Great Britain, he served an apprenticeship in fabrication welding before enlisting in the British army. After 4 years in the Royal Engineers Parachute Squadron he returned to civilian life.   Frank spent several years working in the Middle East in a supervisory capacity on numerous construction projects.   In 1988 Frank immigrated to the United States with his wife and two young daughters, a decision he has never regretted. Frank and his family were sworn in as American citizens in December of 1999.   Frank has extensive experience in welding, having worked on a variety of projects throughout his career. From building small garden gates to erecting steel buildings, and coded welding on power stations, he has done it all.
