Commercial Fluid Power is a one stop shop for your fluid power needs. We carry a complete line of materials and offer extensive honing and machining capabilities. And with plants in Dover & North Canton, Ohio as well as Titusville, Pennsylvania and Rome, Georgia.

Services :

Restore warped materials to their original form and extend their usability with our professional straightening services! We have a 150-ton press, and can straighten materials up to 30’ long and 18” outside diameter (OD).

Honing

Commercial Fluid Power can help you achieve the precise surface finish you’re after with our expert honing capabilities. We can easily hone tubing from .500” to 46” inside diameter (ID) and up to 60” outside diameter (OD). With our 20-ton lifting capacity, large diameter or large bore honing is no problem! We have various machines that are able to hone lengths from 6” to 70’.

Boring

When you need to enlarge and perfect an existing diameter to fit your next project, Commercial Fluid Power’s boring services are the solution! Our horizontal and vertical boring mills enable us to provide both long and short bore services to meet your specific needs.

Welding

Let us weld and fabricate your pieces from start to finish! Whether your welding needs are large or small, we’ve got you covered with our five-ton lifting capacity. We offer welding fabrications on materials such as:

• Steel tubing
• Steel plate
• Stainless steel
• Alloy
• Low carbon
• Ductile iron

Our experienced welding staff is capable of welding with Mig, Tig, and Submerged Arc. We also do bronze cladding on steel or ductile iron. 

Trepanning

Trepanning is a valuable service to consider when you need to drill a large diameter hole into solid bar while producing a core that is useable. This process leaves you with less waste, so it can be beneficial when you are working with expensive materials. The useable core will be approximately 1 ½” smaller than the trepan size.

Milling

Whether you’re trying to achieve a particular surface, create a component such as a gear, or drill precise openings, trust Commercial Fluid Power to transform your materials into custom, useable parts for your fluid power needs!

Our horizontal milling and drilling services enable us to process small and large parts, and we have a 10,000-pound weight capacity. We also offer tapping services for threading.

Skiving

If you are looking for a professional skive and burnish finish, Commercial Fluid Power is the place to be! Our experienced staff offers precise skiving services, and we are capable of long length skiving up to 24’, with inside diameters ranging from 1.500” to 12.000”. 

Materials suitable for skiving include:

• Brass
• Aluminum
• Copper

Machining

In addition to our milling and boring services, Commercial Fluid Power offers manual machining services such as turning, threading (all forms), and grooving on materials such as carbon steel, brass, aluminum, and high temperature alloys. As opposed to boring, which removes material from the inside diameter, turning removes material from the outside diameter using a lathe.

Sawing

Need something cut to size? No problem! Commercial Fluid Power offers sawing services at any of our locations. For your convenience, we even offer same-day turnaround. We can saw bar or tube up to 18” diameter, 40’ length, and weighing up to five tons (what about sheet metal?). Materials include:
