RGM has a 28 year history of quality and service at a fair market price. Our diversified inventory and manufacturing capabilities allow us to effectively support distribution through steel service centers and qualified original equipment manufacturers.
We specialize in the production of precision tolerance, round bars from hot roll stock. We stock several thousand tons of material in various stainless, carbon, and alloy grades. Our manufacturing practices include material selection, precision straightening, turning, burnish/polishing, centerless grinding, cutting, heat treating, facing, end-stamping, packaging, testing, and logistics. We develop effective JIT/RFS inventory plans to meet or exceed the demands of our diverse customer base. Additionally, we provide our manufacturing processes for bar and tubing materials supplied to us by our customers.
Our complete diameter range (1/16” to 12″ diameters) is one of the most expansive in the industry, with bar lengths ranging from 8 ft. to 50 ft. Additionally, we have the ability to process ferrous, non-ferrous, heat-treated, standard, and specialty grades of material; this flexibility allows us to faciliate the most specific needs in the industry. Surface finishes and tolerances are produced to precise customer requirements, and our ISO-9001:2015 designation demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement in every aspect of our business.

RGM History
In 1988, Andrew Strzalkowski established Round Ground Metals with the vision to become the premier manufacturer of precision tolerance round bars for critical applications. Since then, RGM has evolved from being a toll processor to a precision cold finishing specialty steel mill, specializing in close-tolerance round bar products.
The entrepreneurial spirit that Andrew brings to RGM has been the cornerstone on which we have grown. By the early 1990s, our hard work, commitment to quality, and keen customer focus helped us grow to the point where an expansion was needed.
In 1997, we broke ground on a new 40,000 sq. ft. state of the art facility in Hanover Park, IL. Over the next decade, the RGM Family kept grinding away, literally. We expanded our size range, material offerings, and manufacturing capabilities, leading us to expand our original facility to 80,000 square feet. Our dedicated people who embrace the opportunity to serve our customers have been the fuel for our growth.
Today, the RGM Family continues to have the desire and the commitment to personal and professional growth, building a better future for everyone. We now have 260,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehousing located in Hanover Park, IL. Additionally, we have inventory depots in Kent, WA; Houston, TX; and Riverside, CA.
