Larges Metal Fabrication

Large's Metal Fabrication Inc. is a family owned and operated job shop, specializing in custom metal fabrication and well casing. Roy C. Large Jr. and family established their business in 1986 when they decided to carry on the legacy of the P.J. Freiermuth Company; Roy's employer since 1961. Roy worked up the ranks at Freiermuth's, then located on Rodriguez Street, and was the company's General Manager for twenty-five years. Following in their father's footsteps, Roy's sons, Bob and Roy III learned the sheet metal trade at Freiermuth's as well. Roy's wife Carol soon joined him and their sons, by taking on the bookkeeping and office management duties. Daughters Cheryl and Jennifer have also taken on various roles over the years.   In 1995, Large's Metal Fabrication moved from their leased Pine Street location and purchased a newer and more expansive location on Kearney Street. And, in 1998, the company incorporated. Bob Large is now the Well Casing Manager and provides hand rolled casing to customers throughout the state. Roy Large III is the Sheet Metal Manager and coordinates the shop's projects and its twelve employees. Carol Large still maintains the books and runs the office.   Business is conducted the same as when it began twenty-five years ago doing quality work for a competitive price. This has been and will remain the core of their success. The recent installation of a computer-operated Waterjet cutting machine has given Large's Metal Fabrication Inc. the ability to produce multiple parts in a fraction of the time with little waste, thus giving them more opportunities to better serve their diverse customer base.
