Since our inception in 1942 as a regional U.S. manufacturer of elastomer products for the domestic industrial and oilfield markets, Oil States Industries, Inc. has forged a path of innovation and success through our dedication to solving critical challenges for our customers. From the first flexible load bearings for bridges, to the earliest laminated load-bearing products used in buildings, Oil States designed and manufactured a broad range of pioneering elastomer products.  We expanded our business horizons and continued our legacy with innovations that included:  Developed the world’s first steel catenary riser (SCR) for a floating production system (FPS) for Petrobras in Brazil. Invented modern methods for installing and leveling fixed platforms and helped develop reliable cutting for decommissioning platforms. Designed the first non-rotating, snap-on connection, which has become the first choice for TLP tethers and is also used on conductor casings and risers.. Became a leader in mooring systems, winches and offshore cranes in the late 1990s.

Since those earlier days of our history, we have continued to expand our product lines to meet unique challenges and solve our customers’ most complex problems. Our organization has grown, both internally and through acquisitions, and now operates globally. Through acquisition, we are proud to be the word’s leader for supply of welded tubular connectors. Most recently, we strengthened our core expertise through: the addition of specialty welding consulting and engineering services; expansion of our subsea pipeline connector offering and the introduction of vertically integrated world-class precision machining and cladding services.  From the first elastomer products to complete systems, Oil States has developed a reputation for high quality and reliable products and services. We have built on that foundation of over 70 years of leading-edge technologies to become a major global provider of innovative energy systems and solutions.
