Jan Peyser is honored to be a featured member of Argentium® International Limited and the Argentium® Guild in England, and she is delighted to be designing and making sculptural jewelry, for she has been drawing all her life and silversmithing for fifteen years.    Jan’s highly tarnish-resistant Argentium® sterling silver* jewelry is composed primarily of 93.5% - 96% fine silver and germanium, a white, crystalline element that inhibits tarnish, thus making this silver purer, whiter, and more durable than traditional sterling.  Her designs reflect the natural rhythm in nature, dynamic balance, and her imagination.  Made one at a time, she brings her designs to life from Argentium® silver sheet using a hand-held coping saw and a variety of tools and equipment, including, but not limited to, hand-engraving, texturing, piercing, hammering, soldering, fusing, hand-embossing, polishing, tumbling, and hand-sculpting with a nylon mallet or specially designed hammers on wood or steel stakes to capture the essence of movement.     *Argentium® Silver is sterling that is extremely slow to tarnish and will not turn black. All Argentium is made from recycled silver and its sources are guaranteed by Argentium International Limited.  Genuine pearl, gemstone, and crystal adornment, as well as some designs intricately draped in 14K yellow gold wire and/or ornamental components, accompany several designs.
