New Star Jewelrs

The Newstar experience began over a century ago in 1897, when it opened its doors in downtown Joliet. In 2000, we opened our second location in Naperville at the corner of 87th and Rt. 59. Our Family business is now in it’s 4th generation.  The Family is headed by husband and wife team, Dan and Ellen Haake, and supported by their children Aaron, Shanna, and Landen. Ellen began working at Newstar as a girl at the tender age of 15. Shortly after marrying her husband Dan in 1985, together they took sole ownership of the store in that same year. With the foundation of gemological education, a lifetime of experience, and a joined passion to serve their community, the Newstar story continues to be written.   You can visit Dan and Ellen on any given day at the Naperville or Joliet location, while their daughter, Landen, works with them through their digital outreach which can be seen through our Facebook and Twitter pages. Even Grandma Haake does her part as she continues to work part time in the Joliet location well after retirement.
