Based in Gold Country in the heart of the legendary Mother Lode historic mining town of Angels Camp, California.  Calaveras Coin & Jewelry is in the actual hotel made famous by Mark Twain's stay and where he first heard and shortly thereafter wrote the classic short story “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County.'  We are purveyors of fine numismatic coins, bullion and other historic American treasures.   ​ Originally started by Howard Wesely over 20 years ago Calaveras Coin & Jewelry located at 1263 S Main St continued after his passing in January of 2012 and has kept his legacy and way of doing business.  Family owned and operated, the Wesely Family has only made some updates to the already amazing business Howard started and continue to run for two decades.  In 2013 changes included, moving 4 doors down to a larger location at 1283 S Main St. in Historic Downtown Angels Camp.  This new location allows for adequate display and storage of all the amazing coins, antiques, collectibles and one of a kind items.   With over 40 years experience in the numismatic marketplace, combined with a deep passion for history and unbridled enthusiasm for rare coins, tokens and currency, our goal at Calaveras Coin and Jewelry is to provide serious collectors of all levels from beginner to the most advanced with quality, accurately graded, eye appealing specimens of exceptional value.   ​Providing excellent service with experienced staff with over 20 years of knowledge coupled with integrity, confidential and friendly service.
