Rosen Jewelry Company
PO Box 182 , 36101, Montgomery, Alabama, United States | Precious Metals
In 1925, Nathan Rosen founded Rosen Jewelry Company. A Watchmaker, he repaired all types of pocket watches and wrist watches. He was first appointed an “Official Railroad Watch Inspector” in 1932 when Mr. Sam Rice Baker, president of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, came into the store and personally made the appointment. That followed with appointments to all the Railroads that serviced the Southeast area. Sidney, his son, joined the business in 1940. When he married his wife, Marilyn, in 1952, she also began to work in the business. As they expanded, Sidney’s role expanded to inspecting watches, issuing watch cards, and checking and supplying time clocks to insure accurate Railroad Time with the trains and employees. As the family grew, a third generation of “Official Railroad Watch Inspectors”, were born. Today, Railroad Watches are still serviced and maintained. A variety of services and goods are offered. We have a large selection of Railroad related gift items, watches, jewelry, and other merchandise. This is our 90th year in business and today, we still maintain a family owned and operated business.
