A Family Business Through And Through
In 1952, Glenn Greer first began manufacturing tanks at his family's home in Fairbanks. 8 years later, he opened up Greer Tank & Welding, going on to become licensed to build UL listed tanks in 1962. After expanding to Anchorage (Greer Tank Inc) and again to Lakewood in 1995 under the name Greer Steel, Inc, we have proven ourselves as industry leaders capable of withstanding the test of time.
These days, the company is still family run, with David and Mark Greer holding the positions of Vice President and General Manager, respectively, in our Fairbanks location. Our President is Ruth Greer's son-in-law, Stephen Helms, who operates from Anchorage.

In addition, Greer Inc's Lakewood facility serves the Alaskan coastal communities, which are only accessible by water. Each of our facilities is uniquely qualified to meet your tank and steel fabrication needs.
