Performance Services is not licensed to perform air conditioning and refrigeration (ACR) and electrical contracting (ELC) services in Texas but can provide customers a list of licensed ACR or ELC contractors who can.

An integrated approach has tangible customer benefits.
At Performance Services, our company was founded on the belief that an integrated approach to designing and constructing projects leads to high quality, cost-effective, and timely outcomes. We bring together a cohesive team of various disciplines to safeguard against disconnects – no 'gaps or holes' – between the design and construction process. This approach allows for optimization of both building performance and cost by allowing team members working in various disciplines to take advantage of efficiencies that may not be apparent if they are working in isolation. Excellent and consistent owner communication is also emphasized throughout the process.
The customer has just one contract to oversee and a single entity to deal with. We provide a single point of contact from Day One and take full and final responsibility for every key deliverable and the actions of every team member.
What about Design-Bid-Build?
The more traditional, lowest-bidder approach to new construction or building renovation projects is known as 'Design-Bid-Build,' and features separated lines of project responsibility. An architect creates the plans, and after a bidding process, a general contractor is selected for physical delivery. On large or complex projects, there can be many different, low-bid contractors involved from planning through final delivery. These include a range of contractors across many different trades and specialties some of whom may be contracted directly to the owner.
Inevitably, issues and disputes can occur between the many different players. When they do, the customer has to resolve them. Blame for cost overruns, plan, and specification changes, and design disconnects can be passed around, sometimes for months. There is no single point of complete responsibility and accountability. Budgets, schedules, and the customer's own credibility can be at risk.
In contrast, our integrated design and delivery of new construction and renovation projects keep customers firmly in control of expected outcomes.
Real energy savings, guaranteed.
Our approach is defined by two elements: the performance and the guarantee. As far as performance is concerned, we don’t work with theoretical or approximate numbers. We look closely at customer utility bills over the last 12 months or more to discover your real consumption of gas and electricity. With this benchmark and our proposed energy conservation measures, we make projections and define a new baseline of anticipated future energy consumption. The difference between past and projected future energy use forms the basis of the contract.
After project completion for measured and verified contracts, our performance assurance monitoring starts. On a monthly basis we compare your utility bills with our guarantee to make sure that your savings are actually being realized. Monitoring is ongoing and lasts the life of the contract. And we don’t just look at energy consumption – crucial though that is. We examine the run-time data to make sure that systems are running for the correct length of time for the customer. We never distort performance data by turning equipment off or altering temperature set points just to meet targets.
Design-Build Construction
The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) and Owners that have experienced design-build delivery will tell you that project success starts with “the WHO.” This is more important than any other aspect of the project when it comes to delivering a successful design-build new construction or major renovation project. We are very careful in selecting the right partners for our team and we believe “the WHO” is our greatest strength.

We continually improve our design-build processes by conducting project reviews on every completed project to identify what we did well and areas that should be reformed. The Performance Services Energy Leadership Program helps our customers make significant energy-related savings by developing their own expert internal resource. We work with our customer stakeholders to develop a strategic energy plan to maximize savings with the equipment they already have. We then identify the right Energy Manager talent for the customer’s team and equip them with the training required to realize the benefits identified in the plan.

Performance Services provides a 7-step process*. Performance Services will first review your most recent 24 months of electric consumption. We take a comprehensive approach to your energy usage trends so that our designs meet your Energy Master Plan needs. These designs include solar panel placement options, such as rooftop, carport, or ground mount solar power systems.
Once a solution is selected from our multiple design options, we will finalize your financial model. Moving forward Performance Services will offer multiple financing solutions to find the best fit for your organization.
