2002 Thyssen Inc. changes its name to ThyssenKrupp Materials NA, Inc., to reflect the organizational structure of the parent company established following the merger of Thyssen AG and Fried. Krupp AG Hoesch-Krupp in 1998.2003-05 Continued expansion of the non-ferrous metals service center network through organic growth and a series of targeted acquisitions.2006 ThyssenKrupp Materials NA enters the industrial services market by forming the Industrial Services business unit and acquiring a Windsor, Canada-based warehousing company. The acquisition of VPK Metal also strengthens the group’s position in non-ferrous metals in Eastern Canada.2007 ThyssenKrupp Materials NA acquires the assets of OnlineMetals.com of Seattle, Washington, a web-based retailer of metals and plastics.2009 Lagermex (now ThyssenKrupp Materials de Mexico) joins the TKMNA family of companies and expands the footprint into Mexico.
