J. VAIR ANDERSON, LTD.

1925 J. Vair chooses to embark on opening his own jewellery store after working with Calgary Jeweller D.E. Black for over a decade. The store opened at 108, 8th Ave S.W. 1936 Weathering the depression by focusing on watch repairs, J. Vair welcomes his sons, Gordon and Les as apprentices in the business. 1945 Upon completing their tours of duty in WWII, Les chose to pursue a career as a pilot while Gordon joins the family business. 1972 Gordon’s son Ken became the next generation to enter the family business. The three generations worked along side each other at their new store 810, 1st Ave S.W. 1978 J. Vair Anderson moved to a new location in the downtown core at TD Square 1999 The most recent move brought J. Vair Anderson to its’ current location at 409, 3rd Street S.W. 2005 J. Vair Anderson celebrated 80 years of business, as well as, being one of the oldest members of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce

J. Vair Anderson has been serving the Calgary Community for over 88 years. We have built our reputation on trust, integrity and excellence. Throughout three generations, the Anderson family has provided Calgary with their fine jewellery, designer lines, Swiss watch boutiques and giftware.
