Our History

Forsythe Jewelers has been your trusted jewelers for over three generations. Clifton S. Forsythe, a watchmaker, founded the business in Rochester, NY in 1927, originally located in the four corners of downtown Rochester.

Barbara (Forsythe) and Richard Rochow purchased the business in 1972. They moved their business into a remodeled caboose, at the Old Depot Restaurant, Pittsford, New York. In 1980 the Rochows opened a store on the historic Erie Canal in Pittsford. Susan Rochow-Wahl and her husband Matthew Wahl are now the 3rd generation and present owners of the company.
