I entered the world of jewelry in 1985 apprenticing under a local jeweler. I then started a jewelry repair company working for Sparkman Jewelers in Franklin, Tennessee. During this exciting time jewelry repair became my focus and my business grew. I also began designing original jewelry pieces including a pendant for local firefighters.

In 2009 my wife Terry and I moved to Marshall County and put down permanent roots. I opened Tillis Jewelry in 2010 on the Lewisburg Town Square. We quickly outgrew our original space and in 2012 we expanded our showroom. To meet the increased demand for repairs in-house, we hired two more jewelers, veteran jeweler Bill Eddins and my nephew Eric Trammell as apprentice jeweler. My wife Terry is certified in GIA Diamond Grading and is an invaluable part of the team. She is currently completing her GIA Gemologist Certification.

Designing jewelry is more than a job for me, it’s my passion.  Over the last twenty years I’ve designed many original pieces, from a Blue Marlin skeleton bracelet with a sapphire eye to a white gold engagement ring set incorporating our customer’s initials.
