Kravit Jewelers was established by Idayne and Bennett’s grandfather, Samuel Kaye, in 1927. From a push cart on Canal Street in New York City, Samuel sold diamonds, refined metals and other wholesale items. When Samuel’s son, William “Willie” Kaye, took over, he opened the family’s first retail location in Far Rockaway New York.
