1919 Fernando Geiss' grandfather opens jewelry store in Santo Angelo, Brazil When Fernando Geiss’ maternal grandfather opened his first jewelry store in Santo Angelo, Brazil, he could have hardly known he was the spark to an almost century old legacy of jewelry excellence.1964 Bruno Geiss opens the first Geiss & Son's in Spartanburg, SC Immigrating to the U.S. in 1964, Fernando’s father, Bruno, began his own jewelry store in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Bruno’s strong influence was seen in the aspirations of his three sons to take over the family business. Stretching from the Upstate to the coast, the titular sons carry on their father’s namesake brand.

1973-75 Fernando attends Goldschmiedeschule Jewelry School in Germany Carrying on the family tradition, Fernando spent three years in Pforzheim, Germany mastering the art of goldsmithing at Goldschmiedeschule (Jeweler’s School) before returning to the United States.
