Cy Fredrics Jewelers

Cy Fredrics was established and incorporated on June 20th, 1958 by Cy Lemick and Fred Mandel (pictured below). The original location of Cy Fredrics was at 5023 West Oakton Street in the downtown area of Skokie, Illinois.

Shortly after establishment, Cy Lemick bought all outstanding shares of the company from Fred Mandel and decided it best to keep the name as it stands today, Cy Fredrics. Below are a couple of photos from the original Cy Fredrics in Skokie, IL:

In Skokie Cy Lemick worked furiously to provide the best product and customer service possible. Through the years Cy created an unbelievably loyal customer base that is still with us today! The company has been incredibly prosperous in large part due to Cy.

In the infancy of the business Cy Lemick partnered with his son, Michael Lemick, at Cy Fredrics. Michael eventually introduced the second generation at Cy Fredrics.

Cy Fredrics grew and transitioned into its second location where it stands presently at 2719 Pfingsten Road in Glenview, IL on November 13th, 1978. The image to the right is the announcement and invitation to the opening at the Pfingsten location in Plaza Del Prado:

Michael Lemick continued to usher in the third generation at Cy Fredrics Jewelers, bringing his son, Dustin Lemick into the business. Dustin not only holds an economics degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison but also earned his graduate gemologist (G.G.) degree holding certificates in diamonds and colored stones from the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A.). Dustin is thrilled to bring Cy Fredrics into its third generation.

Through the years Cy Fredrics has maintained its excellence in service and has continued to provide beautiful jewelry and watches to the northshore. Michael and the Cy Fredrics family considers itself extremely fortunate to have such great customers!

Appraisals:

Cy Fredrics Jewelers has two GIA Graduate Gemologists, a watch specialist, and appraisers on staff. We do full appraisals on any item. Please call us or email us for further information.

Watch Repair and Battery Replacement:

Cy Fredrics has a full watch team to repair any type of watch. We work on anything from Seiko’s to a Patek Philippe’s. Please stop by the store to get an estimate if you’re interested in repairing your watch. We also replace watch batteries.

We have a full repair facility on premise where we have the ability to repair any type of issue from a small solder job to a complete refinish. We can replace broken or missing diamonds, repair links, or anything else you may need. Stop by the store for an estimate.
Watch & Jewelry Restoration:

Our staff has the knowledge and expertise to restore any of your old watches and/or jewelry items. We can do a complete restoration of the case, overhaul of the movement, and total refinishing on watches. We also offer full restoration on antique jewelry, damaged jewelry, and warn pieces.
