307 E Sherman Ave, Coeur D Alene, ID 83814 , United States | Precious Metals
In the early 1900's Coeur d' Alene, Idaho was a bustling crossroads for the mining and lumber business. Coeur d' Alene got it's start as a location for a Government Fort situated on the north shore of Lake Coeur d' Alene and the mouth of the Spokane River. The sight was chosen by none other than General Sherman as a link between Fort Walla Walla, WA & Fort Benton, MT. By 1907, industry and trade in the west were booming with new rail lines and paddle wheelers and Coeur d' Alene was right in the middle of the action. The town needed a jeweler and thus the biggest little jewelry store in the west was born at 307 Sherman Ave. E. L. Overjorde opened a jewelry store in the busy logging town of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. The store was dedicated to quality, service and value.
His son Bob went to work as Harry Winston's right hand man, assisting him with all of his daily duties. Bob carried the Hope Diamond around the country in the front pocket of his jacket showing it off, in doing so learned many stories and met many great people in his ventures. Dan's parents, Ralph and Jean Clark, purchased the store over 50 years ago and continued with the exceptional service set forth by the Overjorde's. Dan grew up in the business working as a goldsmith. His passion for jewelry led him to the Gemological Institute of America, where he graduated in 1978. Dan has spent the last 30 years traveling the world searching for the finest diamonds and rarest gemstones in a never ending effort to pass on the highest quality products in the world to his customers. So, for over 100 years now they have remained committed to providing customers with the most knowledgeable staff, the worlds' best gemstones and an unrelenting desire to not be out done.
