Avkem Internation, LLC supports the metals industry as the largest flux and foundry manufacturer in North America. Avkem supplies chemistry and equipment for all molten metal cleaning, alloying, processing and insulating requirements. This includes a broad range of products, including flux blends and components, flux injectors, and other foundry products including press gaskets, machine parts, precast parts, and slip cast parts. Avkem works to be more than an industry supplier. Our goal is to build long-term partnerships with not just our customers, but with suppliers, employees, and the communities in which we operate, to maximize short term and long term value. Founded in 1990 as a division of ConAgra, and formerly known as Basic Resources Inc., Avkem International began with a simple goal of providing high quality potash-based chemicals for industrial applications.  Following a management-led buyout in 1992, the company found a unique niche providing performance enhancing chemicals for the metals industry.  Today, Avkem has developed into a leading supplier of process chemicals and associated consumable products to the aluminum industry.  Since its humble beginnings, the company has grown from a single facility company in Eastern Tennessee to a multinational company with seven manufacturing facilities capable of serving North America.Avkem International is an advanced alloying chemical and molten metal process equipment manufacturer serving the non-ferrous metals industry.
