Crimson Energy Partners IV, L.L.C. (“Crimson”) is a private, independent oil and gas company based in Fort Worth, Texas. After the recent divestiture of its assets in Brazos County, Texas to Hawkwood Energy in April 2014, Crimson is currently in a position to acquire assets and pursue market opportunities. Crimson is currently pursuing the following in Texas and Oklahoma:Crimson Energy Partners (“Crimson” or the “Company”) is a Fort Worth, TX-based, upstream oil & gas company founded in 1998 by former Union Pacific Resources professionals Frank Starr II and Jacob “Tripp” Rivers III. Through the newly-formed investment vehicle Crimson Energy Partners IV, LLC, the Company is seeking to capitalize on the recent correction in oil prices with an acquisition-led approach to finding, developing, and exploiting oil & gas reserves, in conjunction with a complementary organic, lease and drilling plan.The Company is led by co-founders Frank Starr (President) and Jacob “Tripp” Rivers III (Exec. VP, Geology & Geophysics) who have combined experience of over 60 years and have worked together for over 20 years including their time spent together at Union Pacific Resources. Prior to co-founding Crimson, Mr. Starr enjoyed a 17 year tenure at Union Pacific Resources in various capacities, leaving as a senior engineer. Both Messrs. Starr and Rivers have Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Oklahoma in Petroleum Engineering and Geology, respectively.
