Marjo is an independent oil and gas operating company based in Tulsa, Oklahoma with operations across the Mid-Continent Region of the United States. Please take some time to read through our website and get to know more about who we are and what we do.Marjo Oil Company was originally founded in 1978 by Joseph Mueller. In 1993, Marjo Operating Co., Inc. was formed. The Company has operated in the states of Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Colorado in the United States and in the province of Alberta in Canada. In 2014, Marjo Operating Mid-Continent, LLC was formed. Marjo conducts operations and contract operations for third parties. We specialize in conventional and unconventional drilling, completion and production techniques in these areas, including but not limited to: hydraulic fracturing, horizontal and directional drilling, waterflooding, and dewatering. At present, the Company operates over 100 wells under the collective ownership of Mark Meador, Brian Keefer, Joe Mueller, Carolyn Bennett, Ted Hinson, Becky McMurphy and Luke Simon. With Marjo’s knowledge and experience in the oil and gas upstream industry, the Company’s primary goal is to pursue and explore for oil and gas in the region using proven engineering techniques to achieve the largest possible reserve base while keeping operating expenses to a minimum.

All areas of land from prospect inception to sale of hydrocarbons, including leasing, farmout agreements, property negotiations, property acquisition, state regulatory spacing, pooling and location exception matters, gas marketing alternatives, surface damage settlements and agreements, operating agreements, title curative, assignments, division orders, gas sales contracts, gas gathering and oil sale contracts.Licensed professional engineers are responsible for all areas of engineering including drilling, completion and production. This includes state regulatory pooling/spacing/location exceptions and preparation of general forms, water resource permits, management of drilling contractors and service companies, completion work (including workovers), stimulation operations, log analysis for perforation selection, pumping unit design, reserve estimation, and construction of surface facilities. In addition, Marjo currently has a good relationship with a large number of service companies which results in larger discounts to projects, significantly lowering the actual drilling, completion and workover costs, as well as monthly expenses.All areas of operations including field supervision of activities associated with drilling and producing, coordinating maintenance and repair work, oversight of pumpers and continuous property management. Marjo is insured on all operated properties and approved to operate in Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas. Marjo also provides these services as a consulting operator on a contract basis for 3rd party wells. Field personnel are OSHA & EPA trained and HAZWOPR certified.All areas of oil and gas accounting, including monthly joint interest billings, revenue distribution, property income and expense reports and investor accounting. We can also handle tracking and paying of vendor invoices, collection and tracking of accounts receivables/AFE expenditures.
