Roughrider Electric Cooperative

Roughrider Electric Cooperative members are owners in the cooperative. We exist because of you. We were formed to bring safe and reliable electricity to our members--it's our mission and purpose. And our members elect fellow members to represent them on the board of directors, maintaining democratic control of the cooperative.Roughrider Electric Cooperative is a non-profit electric utility distributing power to members in Billings, Dunn, Mercer, Oliver, Stark, and Golden Valley counties. Our offices are located in Hazen and Dickinson, ND. Roughrider Electric serves over 7,000 members and provides electricity to more than 10,000 meters. We are a cooperative owned by the members we serve and governed by an elected nine-member Board of Directors. Roughrider Electric purchases power through Upper Missouri Generation & Transmission Cooperative in Sidney, MT. Our power suppliers are Basin Electric Power Cooperative and Western Area Power Administration. We belong to the nationwide network of electric cooperatives known as Touchstone Energy.
