Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc. - located in Albia, Iowa - is your locally owned Touchstone Energy cooperative. CVEC is owned and operated by those who receive electric service from us.

CVEC serves approximately 6,000 homes and businesses in the City of Albia and portions of seven Iowa counties that include: Appanoose, Davis, Lucas, Marion, Monroe, Wapello and Wayne. To provide this service CVEC owns and maintains over 1,300 miles of overhead and underground distribution power lines.

Chariton Valley Electric exists for only one purpose—to provide the best possible service at the lowest possible cost to the consumers in the area which it serves. To that end, your cooperation, your understanding and your support are solicited.

Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative is an electric distribution cooperative, owned and operated by those who receive services from us, headquartered in Albia, Iowa.

Annual Meeting

CVEC holds an Annual Meeting of members each year, usually on the second Saturday of September. Every member is invited and encouraged to attend the annual meeting to enjoy a free meal, be entertained, and be involved in what's going on at your cooperative. There's something for the whole family!
