Bluebonnet Electric Coop, Inc

P.O. Box 729 , 155 Electric Ave, Bastrop, Texas, United States | Electric Power

Bluebonnet is one of the largest electric cooperatives in the state. Since 1939, we've been committed to providing safe, reliable and affordable power to our neighbors in 14 Central Texas counties. Today, we're among the most progressive, technologically advanced utility companies in the country.

75 Years of Power, People and Progress

In the 1930s, big cities in Texas had already enjoyed the benefits of electricity for several decades. The rural towns, however, were still in the dark. In 1939, all that changed when the electric cooperative that would become Bluebonnet brought power to the farms, ranches and communities across Central Texas.
