With a proud legacy and an exciting future, QEP Resources is an industry leader in crude oil and natural gas exploration and production. We are focused on some of the most prolific natural resource plays in the United States – including two world-class crude oil provinces, the Williston Basin and Permian Basin; two prominent liquids-rich gas plays, the Pinedale Anticline and the Uinta Basin; and a premier dry gas asset, the Haynesville Shale.

Our portfolio of low-cost, high-quality resource plays provides a solid foundation for sustainable growth with 3,620 Bcfe of year-end 2015 proved reserves and multiple Tcfe of probable and possible resources. In the second quarter of 2016, our total production of 86.6 Bcfe consisted of approximately 35% crude oil, a substantial increase from 12% in 2012 and 8% in 2011. Our balanced portfolio of both crude oil and natural gas provides us with flexibility to run our business over the long term throughout all commodity market cycles.

QEP’s commitment to our communities goes beyond being a good neighbor. We work with our stakeholders to create partnerships that have a positive and meaningful impact, making our communities a better place in which to live and work.

Upholding our commitment to our values – Responsible, Respectful and Resourceful – we have developed an organizational structure and process to help report and resolve community concerns. For example, we work with the Pinedale Anticline Working Group in Wyoming and the three affiliated tribes of the MHA Nation in North Dakota to address community concerns.

We support local communities not only through our operations in the form of capital investment, taxes and employment opportunities, but also through our corporate giving and volunteering program, QEP Cares.

Our adherence to industry regulations and state-of-the-art well construction methods, paired with ongoing water, air and land conservation initiatives, help to ensure we conduct our business with respect and care for the environment, and manage risks to drive sustainable business growth.

We are committed to protecting the health and safety of all personnel who are a part of our operations and those who live in the communities in which we operate. For example, contractors are required to provide their health, safety and environment program and performance data to us via a third party database. We evaluate the information and QEP contractors are hired and managed accordingly.
