Cassius Ventures Ltd

Cassius Ventures is a gold exploration company focused on the acquisition and subsequent exploration of gold and other precious metals deposits in mining friendly jurisdictions. Cassius was previously focused on exploring three main project areas in Nicaragua, comprising sixteen concessions covering approximately 137,782 hectares, held under a subsidiary called Fortress de Nicaragua S.A. ('Fortress'). After over two years of discussions between the Company and the Nicaraguan Ministry of Mines, the Company had not been successful in restructuring the terms of its concession rents, and in light of the continued struggling state of industry and capital market environment, the best path forward for the Company was to sell Fortress. The sale of Fortress completed in April 2015.
