Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited

3200, 715 – 5th Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta, Canada | Oil & Gas

Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited is a junior oil and gas company focused in Sub-Saharan African. The company is headquartered in Calgary, Canada. Our shares trade on the London Stock Exchange (“COPL”) and on the TSX Venture Exchange (“XOP”).

Our team of highly skilled geologists and engineers have years of experience in the UK basin, West Africa, and a variety of regions throughout the globe. They have a proven track record for finding oil and gas and then developing the discoveries quickly and efficiently.

Overview

In 2011, Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited made the decision to enter West Africa, specifically in the country of Liberia via Block LB-13. We have a broad team of individuals who have years of experience working in the region, and possess a strong track record of making discoveries. Our goal is to continue to grow our company by exploring for oil in emerging regions where large discoveries are occurring yet remain lightly explored, and by focusing on single well unappraised discoveries in mature basisns and bringing them into production quickly and efficiently.

The geological traits of West Africa are similar to those of the North Sea, and our team is excited about exploring for oil and gas in these offshore continental margins. We continue to investigate opportunities elsewhere in the world also.

Our Philosophy

Strong, sound, rigorous governance is at the heart of any publicly traded company, and as such, we have developed a structure to guide Canadian Overseas Petroleum and propel shareholder value.

We know that in addition to our shareholders, there are many other stakeholders to whom we are responsible-our employees, contractors, partners, local and national governments, citizens and the living creatures that inhabit the offshore environment in which we work. We strive to conduct our company in a manner that is environmentally, economically, ethically and socially responsible to all of these stakeholders, and demonstrate that we are good stewards of the resources entrusted to us.

Our Board of Directors plays an active role in developing our corporate strategy and ensures that management has the necessary tools to successfully execute it.

Our Property Strategy

COPL is focused on the regions of West Africa and other emerging oil and gas regions in the world.  West Africa is an attractive region because it has experienced signficant oil and gas discoveries in the past 5 years, yet still remains underexplored because of its vast size. The region has similar geological traits to the UK North Sea, yet holds the potential for significantly larger reserves. Our first property in West Africa is offshore Liberia in Block LB-13 in which we have a 17% equity interest. COPL’s management has many years of exploration success in the UK North Sea and seeks to lever its technical expertise in other oil and gas regions around the globe.
