Alpine Waste & Recycling
7475 East 84th Avenue, Commerce City, United States | Waste recycling
Alpine was founded as Alpine Disposal in Denver’s Washington Park neighborhood in 1999 with just one truck and one man. The company was based upon a simple premise—to provide an unprecedented level of service in the waste industry. This superior standard included courteous, professional drivers who didn’t just dump customers’ containers but also cleaned the immediate area, as well as a commitment to responsiveness to our customers’ needs– a simple but unique approach to the industry. This superior level of service is ingrained in Alpine’s culture, and remains a source of pride for all Alpine employees today.
In 2007, Alpine built Altogether Recycling™, only the second single stream recycling facility in the state at the time, and the second largest recycling facility in Colorado today. Recognizing the importance of sustainability in Colorado, Alpine evolved into the leader in sustainability initiatives in the waste industry in Colorado, becoming the first company in Denver to collect organics (compost materials), the first in the State to run clean-burning natural gas collection vehicles, and the only company to offer Automated Sustainability Reports.
Today Alpine remains locally owned and is the largest independent waste and recycling company in Colorado. The company is completely vertically integrated with a fleet of almost 100 collection vehicles, its Altogether Recycling Facility, Alpine’s compost processing plant, and East Regional Landfill, the only landfill owned by a private company in the State. Alpine is a large employer in Colorado, with in excess of 200 employees.
Alpine has received numerous prestigious awards over the years; including ColoradoBiz Magazine’s Top Company Award in 2008, Colorado Association of Recycling’s Most Outstanding Business for Recycling in 2009, ColoradoBiz Magazine’s Top Company to Watch in 2010, Commerce City’s Small Business of the Year Award in 2010 and named one of ColoradoBiz Magazine’s Top 50 Green Businesses in 2014. Additionally, Alpine was a finalist for the Denver Chamber of Commerce’s Green Business of the Year in 2010 and 2013, and Alpine has appeared on the Denver Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Companies List in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, and 2010. Alpine maintains an A+ and Gold Star rating with the Better Business Bureau.
Alpine’s Altogether Recycling facility offers the most comprehensive recycling program available in Colorado, with the widest breadth of acceptable items. Additionally, Alpine was the first waste and recycling company in Colorado to utilize natural gas collection vehicles, utilizing a cleaner-burning, domestically produced fuel.
alpine1organicsVehicleAlpine was the first company in the Denver metro area to collect Organics (compostable material), and the first waste and recycling company in Denver to develop a compost processing facility. Finally, utilizing state of the art technology, Alpine is the only company to provide its customers Automated Sustainability Reports, which allow its customers to see precise waste diversion results, compare their performance versus similar businesses, and understand the impact of their recycling efforts on the environment.
