Smyth Automotive is a privately-held automotive aftermarket company, owned and operated by the Smyth family since it was founded by George Smyth nearly 50 years ago. In 1963, George opened his own used car business, and the need for parts led him to opening his very own salvage yard. Smyth Automotive began by selling used parts from his salvage yard, and by 1965 was selling new parts over the counter..Parts Plus is a national buying group and collaborative umbrella organization comprised of independently owned and operated automotive aftermarket parts warehouse distributors and retailers.The origin of the Parts Plus marketing name can be tracked back to jobber programs created in 1957. Since that time, Parts Plus has developed a comprehensive program that enables its independently owned members to prosper in today’s automotive aftermarket through group volume purchasing, marketing programs, professional branding and identity, and part manufacturer support. Today the Parts Plus name can be found in auto parts stores and Car Care Centers across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.The AUTOMOTIVE DISTRIBUTION NETWORK is the umbrella organization for four of the premier groups in the automotive aftermarket, Parts Plus, Independent Auto Parts of America, Auto Pride, and CMB Network. The combined strength and stability of these top groups in a Network of over 300 WD locations that service 1,500+ affiliated auto stores and over 2,000 affiliated service centers. In addition, these members support Network Products Warehouse, a member-owned warehouse distribution company located in Somerville, Tennessee. This facility is strategically placed to provide unique products and services exclusively for the members of the Automotive Distribution Network.
