Welcome to Hatfield Metal Fabrication, Inc. We are a certified Women's Business Enterprise, located in Poughkeepise, NY, and have been serving the needs of the metal fabrication industry since 1947. We are capable of handling a vast array of work due to our diversity making it possible to complete virtually any project in-house and without the need for 3rd party services or outside processing.
Our sheet metal department is capable of handling high-volume projects with three lasers, including one fiber-optic laser, a variety of press brakes in various widths up to 12 feet, several sheet and plate shears, a Stippet turret punch machine, spot welding and pemming. Our machining department is CNC controlled with a variety of lathes and machining centers capable 5 axis machining. We are also a certified ASME welding and fabrication shop with the ability to provide large scale weldments from a variety of materials. Other material cutting services include Dynamic Water Jet cutting capable of cutting through thicker materials, and high definition plasma burning. Our finishing department consists of powder coating, wet painting, a variety of sanding and grinding operations, sand-blasting and wide belt finishing.

Industrial Finishing
Rounding out the fabrication process is our industrial painting and powder coating facility. We have two spray booths and two large bake ovens which can handle a large number of parts at one time and allow us the ability to run both processes at one time. Powder coating is an advanced method of applying a decorative and protective finish to a wide range of materials and products that are used by both industries and consumers. The powder used for the process is a mixture of finely ground particles of pigment and resin, which is sprayed onto a surface to be coated. The charged powder particles adhere to the electrically grounded surfaces until heated and fused into a smooth coating in a curing oven. The result is a uniform, durable, high-quality, and attractive finish.
Our welding department contains a wide variety of welding procedures including mig, tig and spot welding making us one of the largest welding shops in the Hudson Valley. We have the capability to handle virtually any size job from smaller parts to large weldments in steel, stainless steel, aluminum as well as more exotic metals. With over 60 years of experience, our team of highly skilled craftsmen are complemented by modern equipment that enables them to consistently produce the highest quality weldments and assemblies cost effectively and on time.
