First we pretreat the carpet rather than using the cleanser during steam cleaning. This allows time for the cleanser to loosen dirt and other contaminants from the carpet. Next we steam clean the carpet which simultaneously extracts dirt with a high powered vacuum allowing for a clean rinse resulting in no soap residue which would ultimately attract dirt again.
