Sol’s Pipe & Steel is a family-owned, full-line metals service center in Monroe, Louisiana, with an extensive inventory of materials and products and the manufacturing capability to provide fast turnaround on a wide variety of products, including rolled and welded, high-grade structural steel pipe in sizes up to 20 feet in length with up to 2-inch-thick walls and 15-foot diameters.

Started in 1952, Sol’s Pipe & Steel is now into its second generation of family management, growing from a small pipe and steel business to a large, multi-dimensional operation with three divisions servicing markets both regional and national.

Our Titan Division with its new, giant, custom-built European rolling machine has the capability to process our super-sized Titan Series pipe that’s used nationally and internationally for a wide variety of demanding structural steel projects.

Our New Steel & Pipe Division services primarily the Ark-La-Tex and Ark-La-Miss regions with an exceptional array of products. And our Used Pipe Division services markets nationally with a wide variety of used pipe products.

It was back in the 1950s that Sol Rosenberg as a young man and new to the Monroe area started out in business by finding a market for scrap iron and used pipe. In 1959 he opened a small operation near the airport (the genesis of our facility of today) and increased his business by expanding his capability to clean as well as straighten used pipe.

In the next decade he expanded further and began threading pipe for the gas well industry. By the 1970s his used pipe business was thriving, and he moved gradually into the new steel business, inventorying everything from plate to structurals.

In the 1980s Sol’s Pipe & Steel started rolling pipe up to ¾” thick and 10 feet in length. Through the 1980s and 1990s the company grew substantially, serving both regional and national markets. And now with the opening of our new Titan Division with its capability for 20-foot rolled and welded steel pipe with up to 2-inch-thick walls and 15-foot diameters, we‘re ready to meet the needs of an ever-demanding national and international market.

Titan Division 

Our Titan Division features our giant, custom-built European rolling machine which processes our super-sized Titan Series pipe for demanding structural steel projects ranging from offshore platforms to bridge pilings to caissons, monopiles and boring applications.

Our Titan Series of rolled and welded, high-grade steel pipe with double-submerged arc welds comes fully inspected and documented. The pipe comes in sizes up to 20 feet in length with up to 2-inch-thick walls and 15-foot diameters.

Services 

Sawcutting

Sawcutting services with precision tolerances are provided for items up to 24” in width.

Burning

Plasma and Oxy-Fuel Burning services are available for carbon steel up to 12” in thickness and stainless steel and aluminum up to 2” in thickness.

Shearing

Shearing services are available for items up to 3/8” in thickness and up to 12’ long.

Drilling

Drilling services are available for drilling holes up to 4 1/2” in diameter in plate up to 9” thick.

Facilities

Sol’s Pipe & Steel houses its international operation on a 30-plus acre site in Northeast Louisiana adjacent to rail, air and interstate access. Load-out by water is also available via the Ouachita River. Our latest 20,000-square-foot Titan Division facility – one of only a handful of such facilities in the U.S. able to produce 20-foot rolled and welded steel pipe – will operate three shifts a day as necessary to assure delivering customer orders on time and on budget. This newest facility has 40 tons of crane capacity to allow efficient and safe processing of customer orders. Sol’s also has a fleet of 14 rigs for fast delivery of all products.
