Soundside Recycling & Materials, Inc. has been in business since November of 2000 accepting construction waste from Northern Dare County and the Currituck Outer Banks. We sort the recyclable materials, and send them to prospective markets. I f you have an item that needs to be recycled or have a question call us we may be able to find a market for the material or someone who recycles it. Color enhanced mulch is one of the products that is processed on our site. Once we process the wood we then customize your mulch to your landscape needs with any color you desire. Our big seller is our Red color enhanced mulch that we stock on our site for pick- up or delivery. We also have double shredded hardwood that we process on our site. We have composted our plywood with chicken litter and crab waste. Compost is good for turf top dressing or as a landscape mix. Our compost can be purchased by itself or mixed with topsoil.

We have everything you need to get your flower beds & gardens ready for the Spring Season. Our Compost & Topsoil with Compost work well for new gardens or existing gardens. Also if you are putting down Turf or grass seed our Compost works great for helping your ground retain moisture. We also have Brown mulch for your flower beds to help your plant retain the heat and moisture in the next few months. If you need any of this done, we have a list of contractors that do Landscaping that can assist you with your needs. We sell this material in Bulk at our site in Jarvisburg, or we can deliver it to you. Working in the yard you always find something that needs to be taken down or that old lumber pile that has been stockpiled in your yard, or that old building or fence that has been sitting to long that is falling down. Well at Soundside we take Construction Materials, Yard Waste, Concrete, & Shingles. If you do not have a truck or a trailer to bring it to us, we have Waste Haulers that would be more than Happy to give you a price. Some of our haulers will even load the material for you.Some of the other products that we offer are 8 x 8 piling tops. We have square & round piling tops. They work great for edging driveways, paths, or even driveway bumpers. A variety of sizes are available. Once you get your edging done on your driveway this winter has been pretty rough on some folks driveways, have holes that need to be filled we have crush n run to fill them in. If you had a tree fall and you have a hole in your yard from that we have fill dirt that can fill in the hole.
