It has been a history of evolution and development driven by innovation, solid principles and values, hard work and an unyielding commitment with their customers’ satisfaction, the development of their people, with sustainability and the environment. It has also been a history motivated by the purpose of serving Mexico with the very best of our entrepreneurial capabilities.

The company emerged 30 years ago in the woods of Durango with a modest sawmill and a dream: to create chains of value from the comprehensive exploitation and the sustained regeneration of the forest, in harmony with the environment. It is in our origin, the forest, where one can find the historic roots of our permanent commitment to nature and sustainability. 

To encourage a low-carbon economy, taking care of the woods and turn into a part of the solution to the global warming problem, our company has designed an ambitious sustainable business model that allowed us to move away from the conventional paper industry model, characterized by a high social cost when it comes to manufacturing paper through the intensive consumption of trees and forests, as well as establishing our competitive advantage and setting us apart in sustainability in our sector.

In addition to incorporating talent and the most advanced global technology, our sustainable model required deep changes that included the projection of the future of the company under a new corporate identity. It had to reflect in its name the DNA of the company and to set a permanent commitment of bio-sustainability in what we do and in everything that we can influence in our surroundings.

The core vision of our model consisted in being able to produce all of our paper and paper products without the need to cut a single tree…That is where the magic of a new sustainable development period in the history of Bio-PAPPEL initiated.
