Since 1993, Reco Biotechnology has been recognized as a preferred destination for bioremediation of petroleum contaminated soil and related material. In 1996, we initiated expansion of our capabilities to include fuels recycling and non hazardous liquid waste treatment. Reco enjoys operating as the only Virginia Department of Environmental quality permitted non hazardous liquid waste treatment facility in Virginia. Transportation services include our vacuum trucks, tankers, dump trailer, tandems, roll-offs and lift gate equipped drum transporters. Reco Biotechnology, our trade name for Aqua Clean Environmental of Virginia, LLC Company, is regarded as a comprehensive provider for non hazardous waste management services. Our facilities, conveniently located near I95 @ I64 in Richmond, VA offer bioremediation, physical and chemical liquids treatment, fuel recycling, processing and disposal for a variety of industrial and environmental clean-up residuals. A wide range of material is accepted in bulk, drum and tote quantities. We also have a Biodiesel production facility at this location.Reco employs bioremediation to successfully treat petroleum contaminant levels to below regulatory levels.The process essentially relies on naturally occurring bacteria enhanced with selected cultures to clean soils contaminated with a variety of petroleum fuels. A skillfully applied balance of microbes and nutrients break contaminants down to their essential elements, eliminating hydrocarbons and producing soil suitable for reuse as fill. Upon completion of the treatment process, the soils are certified through independent laboratory analysis and are beneficially re-used as a cost effective component in construction and land restoration projects.Recos' fuel recycling operation provides a cost effective alternative to destructive disposal technology. In most cases, fuel is recovered from water mixtures and returned for use as a fuel. This beneficial reutilization meets EPA standards for fuel recycling, eliminating the need to manage fuel as off specification oil fuel, supplemental fuel or as a hazardous waste.Our biological waste water treatment technology then eliminates any organic residuals in the water phase, allowing for a fully permitted post treatment discharge to a POTW.

In addition to our fuel recycling capabilities, Reco operates treatment facilities for other non hazardous liquid waste. Reco is an EPA certified Centralized Waste Treatment (CWT) facility. Manufacturing by-products, off specification commercial chemical products, groundwater from environmental remediation and other non hazardous liquid wastes are accepted for treatment.We also accept sludges and semi pumpable, non hazardous materials that are treated using our efficient pozzolonic stabilization process.Prior to the opening of our liquid waste facility, these wastes required costly transportation to permitted facilities hundred of miles away. Prior to acceptance of material for treatment, a completed Non-Hazardous Waste Profile Summary sheet must be completed. Included is a generators certification that the material does not meet the definition of a hazardous waste.

Reco Biotechnology's treatment facilities are conveniently located near the confluence of 1-95 and I-64 in downtown Richmond, VA. long regarded as a preferred destination from throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Reco's 11 acre site offers a 165,000 square foot indoor treatment, recycling and waste management facility. All treatment and recycling activities are conducted within this concrete floored controlled environment to insure security and quality control of our treatment and recovery processes.Recos' treatment, recycling, and disposal facilities offer cost effective options for processing of soil and related debris, liquids, sludges, semi solids and viscous materials.
