PARTS members who attended the PARTS 50th anniversary convention and trade show were among the first to be introduced to the new PARTS. Over the last 2 years PARTS has been redefining and rebuilding itself to better serve its membership. PARTS officially rebranded itself at the 2014 convention. The new brand promise was presented to the membership at the annual meeting held on September 27, 2014 at Novak’s Auto Parts. The new branding presents membership as a tool in your business tool box. Since membership covers so much, PARTS has elected to utilize a multi-tool to demonstrate what your membership includes. A member that utilizes all the benefits of membership can make and or save thousands of dollars per year. If you are not making the most out of your membership, email kay@parts.org or call Kay at 877-211-0266 to learn how to use this powerful business tool.

For over 40 years, PARTS has represented the interests of quality professional automotive recyclers across Pennsylvania. PARTS provides services and programs designed to help auotmotive recyclers succeed in the marketplace. The automotive recycling industry plays a necessary and crucial role in the efficient, ecological disposal of inoperable motor vehicles. Although sometimes known as auto salvage dealers or dismantlers, professional automotive recyclers deal strictly in the recycling of motor vehicles - i.e., domestic and foreign automobiles, light and heavy-duty trucks, buses and motorcycles.Automotive recyclers are a valuable source for economical and often hard to find used motor vehicle replacement parts. Professional auto recyclers use computer and satellite communication systems that enable for direct inventory assessment as well as locate parts across town or across the continent, by simply entering the appropriate data into their computer system. This technology allows recyclers to maximize their inventories and provide quick and efficient service to their customers.Automotive recyclers purchase damaged, abandoned, or used vehicles from insurance companies or individuals. The majority of vehicles purchased by automotive recyclers are 'late-models,' ranging in age from 'brand-new' to several years.Recycled vehicles go through a dismantling process similar to an automotive assembly line running in reverse. The usable, undamaged parts are removed from vehicles, inspected, tested, inventoried, and stored for resale. These reusable parts are typically marketed and sold to body shops, garages, used car dealers, and retail customers.Away from the point of impact there are plenty of perfectly good parts that can be reused and recycled. Vast inventories of preassembled, ready to install reusable parts for hundreds of different makes and models ensure timely completion of your automotive repair needs. The damaged, or non-marketable, parts that remain are recycled for their metal/material value, or they are sold to parts remanufacturers. The reuse and recycling of vehicles has been practiced since the day when Henry Ford first mass produced the automobile...in Pennsylvania alone, hundreds of thousands of vehicles become available for recycling annually.
