We are a family owned business that started in 1997 as Sargent’s Automotive Recycling. Located in Moore Haven, surrounded by acres of Florida’s most production farm land, we sold most parts locally and managed our daily activities the old fashioned way – paper tickets.After spending four years at the University of Florida studying business management, my brother and I returned home to take our “small business” to the next level. We changed our name to A-1 New & Used Parts and implemented a computerized yard management system. Our sales quickly extended to customers throughout the state, across the country and even the world. In order to expedite distribution, we added a fleet of trucks to offer complimentary delivery service to our customers within a hundred-mile radius. We became active members of the Florida Automotive Dismantlers Association (FADRA) and the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA). Our yard follows all industry standards which minimizes our overall impact on the environment.We have come a long way in the last seventeen years, but miles in the recent seven. We continuously monitor our processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies and ultimately, pass those benefits on to our customers.An economical alternative to new parts, and sometimes a necessity when parts are no longer made, reused parts are becoming very important. Motor vehicles are one of the most recycled consumer products in the United States. As an auto recycler, we remove reusable parts from vehicles that are cleaned, tested, inventoried, and stored in one of our warehouses for sale to individuals and auto shops.
