About us
H2O Applied Technologies reduces utility expenses-water, energy, waste and telecommunications-by designing and installing a wide range of measures to optimize utility usage and/or replace inefficient equipment and systems. With over 15 years of experience serving clients in the healthcare, university, scientific research, and federal government sectors, we deliver reliable ways to reduce utility costs and solve related problems. We are a certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE).
Effective utility usage is the product of creative thinking-seeing where conservation measures or new, more efficient systems can be applied. Our unique experience, specialized software, and innovative deal structuring and financing capabilities benefit our clients by lowering their utility operating costs and upgrading their facilities.
Headquartered in Boston, H2O traces its roots to The Beacon Companies. Since its establishment in 1946 The Beacon Companies has been a leading developer, builder and operator of commercial, hotel, and multi-residential real estate. This strong background in facilities construction and management provides H2O Applied Technologies with an extensive knowledge base of facility operations and methods to optimize utility usage.

Utility Expense Reduction Program
For hospitals and health care systems, reducing utility expenses is a great idea: it is a cost-containment strategy that can be implemented quickly and painlessly, offers sustainable savings, and demonstrates resource management Best Practices. Since many healthcare organizations recognize the value of utility expense reduction but prefer to reserve their capital for revenue-generating projects, H2O has developed the Utility Expense Reduction Program, a capital-free alternative to capital investment.
