GROUNDWATER RESOURCES INTERNATIONAL
Water Supply Exploration and Development Specialists
Groundwater Resources International is a science based water supply exploration and development services firm whose primary focus is exploration and development of the earth’s groundwater resources.
Groundwater can be an extremely reliable and cost effective water supply solution for many clients, and often the best (or only) option for a water system. A successful groundwater exploration program is dependent on targeting sites for wells that will produce the greatest sustainable yield and highest water quality available. This goal is achieved by understanding the interaction between hydrologic and geologic environments to drill wells in the most productive sites.
Developing a groundwater supply requires expertise in several disciplines, including GIS based hydrogeologic data collection and management, structural and surficial geology, remote sensing, geophysical surveying and interpretation, drilling technology, borehole inspection, pumping test design and aquifer analysis, groundwater flow modeling, and well rehabilitation and development. This multidisciplinary approach and our unique adaptation of geophysical exploration methods first developed for the oil industry produces results that greatly increase the probability of success for projects of any scope.
Our professional team has decades of experience in all these areas of groundwater development and a proven track record in diverse and challenging environments. We have completed projects in 26 states, Africa, the Middle East, South America and the Caribbean, with a success rate over 85% . Let GRI put this expertise to work in developing high yield, high quality groundwater supplies for your project needs.

PROJECT SERVICES
Our expert staff can efficiently and scientifically evaluate the groundwater development potential of any land area ranging in size from an entire country to a single lot. Should our initial assessments indicate that there are locations favorable for groundwater development in your project area we will then work with your planning staff or design engineers and regulatory agencies to select specific sites for further exploration.
GRI will choose site-appropriate geologic and geophysical investigative tools and technologies, perform the investigations, reduce, process and interpret geophysical data, assess underlying geology and structure and identify the locations of water bearing geologic features for test drilling. During this process we will also identify logistical, environmental, financial and possible contaminant threat concerns associated with the development of the resource and provide specific drilling targets for future test drilling. We will then either supply, or assist you in selecting a well drilling firm with the necessary capabilities and expertise required to construct test, production and monitoring wells.
GRI will design specifications for the wells, perform geologic logging, yield monitoring and sampling and provide construction observation services during the entire drilling and construction process. Once water supplies are found, GRI scientists will design monitoring networks and test pumping protocols and will supervise the well and aquifer testing and analysis. We will also perform hydrogeologic evaluation and safe yield analysis, and design long term monitoring and well operations plans to insure the continued optimal operation of your water supply. If desired, we can offer a complete range of engineering services, including design and construction of the control, distribution and water treatment systems. GRI specializes in technical training of your staff for monitoring and groundwater protection.
In addition to full service groundwater exploration and development projects, GRI can provide any specific groundwater exploration, evaluation or engineering services needed by clients.
