LG NanoH2O, Inc
750 Lairport Street , El Segundo, California, United States | Minerals Recycling
History & Mission
LG Water Solutions designs, develops, manufactures and markets reverse osmosis (RO) membranes that lower the cost of water treatment. Based on breakthrough nanostructured materials and industry-proven polymer technology, LG Chem’s RO membranes dramatically improve desalination energy efficiency and productivity, delivering the highest flux and the highest salt rejection of any RO membrane on the market. LG Chem RO membranes are available in standard 8-inch (20 cm) diameter elements that fit easily into new and existing desalination plants, purifying water from a broad range of sources with improved productivity and water quality. LG Water Solutions is part of LG Chem, Ltd.

Products
Lowering the Cost of Desalination
LG Water Solutions has set a new standard for membrane productivity within the reverse osmosis desalination industry. Utilizing patent-pending thin-film nanocomposite membranes, LG Chem's spiral-wound elements and membrane flat sheet deliver the highest flux and energy efficiency when compared to the current installed base. Our extensive research and development in innovative technologies allow us to manufacture membrane materials that demonstrate increased permeability and/or increased salt rejection, fundamentally changing the economics of desalination.
LG Chem Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane Flat Sheet
Higher productivity for a wide range of applications
LG Chem's thin-film nanocomposite (TFN) membranes have demonstrated a 50-100% increase in permeability when compared to the current installed base of RO membranes, while matching best-in-class salt rejection. Nanostructured materials are introduced into the synthesis process of the traditional polymer film that produces an RO membrane, thus making a true composite material.
LG Chem membrane flat sheet is ideally suited for a wide range of applications including:
- Plate-and-frame
- High TDS brackish water
- Select industrial processes
