Key Dollar Cab, LLC

Po box 16963, Portland, Oregon, United States | Energy

The idea for the first Key Dollar Cab began in 1982, in a small agricultural community in Eastern Oregon. Al Parks, a local orchardist, enlisted the services of Henry Svehaug, an engineer, to help him create a safer and more comfortable form of spray protection for himself while spraying in his orchard. The idea quickly became a reality and the first Key Dollar Cab was born.

In 1992, the first Universal Fit Cab — the Omega, was introduced. The new design was based on lessons learned from the original as well as feedback from numerous existing customers. The new Omega Cab fit a greater range of tractors, offered improved visibility through larger windows and for the first time came with the option of hydraulic air conditioning.

In 2003, the company introduced its second Universal Fit Cab — The Magnum. The Magnum was another step forward in the evolution of the Key Dollar Cab in that it carried on with the design trends that made the previous models popular but was now able to better fit today’s wider tractor models.

In 2007, the company had another first — a permanent mount cab was added to the line of removable cabs. The company’s first foray into the permanent mount orchard cab market was a clean sheet design that was done in collaboration with California’s almond growers and John Deere Dealers. It was also named a Top 10 New Product award winner at the 2008 World Ag Expo in Tulare, CA.

The main objective of Key Dollar Cab, LLC has always been to take care of its customers — both new and existing. That’s why new products are constantly in the works and why we still stock parts for nearly all of the 2,000+ cabs we have sold to date.
